Well, now, it seems as though the school is year has almost come to a completion. I grow happier everyday knowing that soon I won't have to return for quite some time. Now, now; don't underestimate my love for the fine institution of learning that I attend. I am merely ready to not return.
If my calculations are correct, and I believe they are, I have 381 days until I graduate. Oh, the wondrous joy that bestows upon me from this glorious fact!

Walter's Point of View

Our check's comin' tomorrow. Mamma's check that is. I been seein' Bennie eyeball it for a whiles now-- and i ain't gonna let her take it for her own fancy. The way I see it is, that moneys coming on account of my father, not just Bennie's daddy, but mine too! I know she thinkin' she can come up in here and do what she please. I won't have it! My dreams are gonna come true. I'm finally gonna make something of m'self. Me and Bobo done got it all figured out. With the liquor store, we'll always be making money 'cause people always be drinking. It's the real thing, and with that money I can live my dream, and make a life for my son.
